A Nostalgic Look at Oktober Guard’s Red Star: The 1991 Classic G.I. Joe Figure

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at the G.I. Joe Oktober Guard figure Red Star. Somehow I had this one as a kid but I think my younger brother got him as a gift and I claimed him. He was the only figure I had from 1991 and I believe he was the first Oktober Guard figure released. I loved the Oktober Guard, they were such comic relief. I’m not sure why it took so long to put out figures of them.
The original was such a great figure I loved the removable hat and the head sculpt was perfect. Red Star did get a modern figure in 2008 who was also cool but I love the original version best. Overall this is a solid figure and I wish all the other Oktober Guard figures were more affordable but I have something to chase down in the future. Who had Red Star as a kid?
